The writing process is a tool that makes writing a successful experience for all students.   Students’ composition skills will develop through literature focus units and themes cycles as they participate in the writing process.   When children use a process approach to writing, they are less likely to plagiarize from books because they have developed their compositions step-by-step from prewriting and drafting to revising and editing.
