Being part of this experience had bought the thought to me, that I can use this activity with my students to display their writing pieces and other work done. In this way, the students can get to see each others great work and get ideas from them to help improve in weak areas i...

Students: Can you serve us a balanced literacy approach to guide us towards proficient, lifelong reading and writing today? Teacher: Yes! Sure, with great pleasure. I will serve you the right amount needed in read-aloud, shared reading, guided reading, independent reading, shared writing, interactive writing, guided writing and independent writing to become proficient and lifelong reader and writer.   Our session on balanced literacy approach is one of the most memorable experience I ever had, from the start of the session to the end. The presenter did an excellent job through the entire session. The first activity done ‘read the room’ left me amazed because this was the first time I heard about it and doing it as an exercise. From this experience, I can try this activity with my students upon return to ...
